Constructing the New Orphanage Building
November 2007 - Old Wooden Shack
One of the supported ministries and main projects for 2008 has been the rebuilding of this dilapidated wooden shack where
orphan boys sleep in Yangon. This Christian ministry cares for orphans and provides them with a loving, caring environment
where they can be safe and learn about the Lord Jesus Christ.
The problem with this building is that it is in very poor condition internally and leaks badly where the young boys sleep. Snakes are also frequent
visitors and the need is for a solid building for the orphans to sleep in the dry. With this obvious need we have decided
to put the financial resources towards this project.
Building Progress - Feb 2008
Project Burma's ministry is involved in the following areas:
Of the work that we support or are involved with in Burma one of the main projects for 2008 has been supporting the construction of a brick building to replace a wooden building where orphan boys used to sleep in Yangon.
The current work is moving swiftly and the new building will provide a safe, warm and dry place for the orphan boys to sleep during the rainy season of 2008. This work has been possible because of the gifts generously given by Christian brothers and sisters that have supported this initiative.
April 2008 - Almost Built
The building work is moving rapidly along and should be finished quite soon. The whole building project has moved quite quickly from the simple design that our Christian brother and the orphanage owner, showed us a few months ago. It is an exciting time for the orphans and this particular ministry in Burma. It is hoped that on our return visit that the new building will be in full use with the children making good use of this necessary resource and being able to sleep in a safe and dry building.
This project and others in Burma are only possible because of the support we receive from Christians. If the Lord is laying a burden on your heart then please prayerfully consider supporting the working in Burma.
April 2008 - Plastering
The building work is nearing completion as the plastering continues to quickly cover the brick building. It won;t be long now before the work is finished.
April 2008 - Finished
Amazingly, and ahead of the rainy season, the new orphanage building has been completed. The building work is now complete and all that needs to be done is the internal decoration. May the Lord receive all the glory for this work and bless those that have provided financially and prayerfully to ensure that this project could be completed.
This is just one of the initiatives that we currently support and we also donate financial assisstance as and when need arises to specific ministries which are part of 'the body of Christ' in Burma.
